Q: How much should I expect to earn?
Your rates are entirely up to you and can vary based on the campaign. Earnings depend on factors such as the brand’s budget, the type of sponsorship, your content style, your audience size, and how much you would like to earn.

Audacy Creator Lab gives you full control over your pricing. We also provide recommended pricing ranges based on the size of your podcast.

Q: How should I price myself if my show gets fewer than 1,000 downloads per episode?
If your podcast averages under 1,000 downloads per episode, we recommend using flat rates.

  • For pre-roll and mid-roll ads, many brands accept rates between $15 and $40.

  • For custom work like reviews or interviews, which require more time and effort, consider starting at $40 to $100.

You can also offer bundle deals for multi-episode sponsorships to make your proposal more appealing to brands.

Q: How should I price myself if my show gets more than 1,000 downloads per episode?
If your show averages more than 1,000 downloads per episode, you can continue using flat rates or switch to a CPM model (a price per thousand downloads or listens).

  • For pre-roll or mid-roll ads, a CPM range of $15 to $30 is generally acceptable to brands.

  • For more integrated content like product reviews, interviews, or topic-based discussions, you can set a higher flat rate or use a CPM range of $30 to $50.

If you choose a higher rate, make sure to clearly explain how you will deliver value and help the brand achieve its campaign goals.

Q: Can prices be negotiated or updated?
Yes, brands can request a different price. If you agree, you can update your proposal.

To revise a submitted proposal, go to the Sponsorship page and select Proposals Sent.

Once you are on the Proposals Sent page, you will see a list of all your submitted proposals. Click Edit Proposal to make any updates.

Q: How do I get paid?

After you sign up for a free Audacy Creator Lab account, you can browse available sponsorship opportunities, also called campaigns. When you find a campaign that fits your show, send a proposal to the brand.

If the brand decides to work with you, they will accept your proposal and you will receive an email notification. A workroom for the campaign will then be created.

Brands pay upfront for the sponsorship. The funds are held securely in escrow while you create the sponsored content, so you are protected throughout the process.

Once you submit your sponsored content for review in the workroom and the brand approves the ad, the payment will be released to your account.

You can receive payments through Stripe or PayPal. To set up your preferred method, go to Settings > Payout Method in your Audacy Creator Lab account.

Q: How does Audacy Creator Lab make money?

Audacy Creator Lab is free to sign up for and use. We charge a 10& fee on completed sponsorships to help support the platform, bring you more opportunities, and maintain a secure and easy experience for creators.

If you want to make sure you receive your target payment after the fee, consider adding a 10% buffer to your proposal price.
