1. Introduce Your Show and Audience

Think of your proposal like a cover letter for your resume. A great way to begin is by introducing yourself, your show, and the type of content you plan to create for the sponsor.

Most sponsors appreciate creativity and enthusiasm, so putting care into your proposal can help you stand out. Make it as easy as possible for them to say yes to your offer.

You can also submit an audio proposal. Use this chance to create a sample ad for the sponsor, showing that you are already thinking about the integration and are serious about working with them.

2. Share a Compelling Reason Why You Want to Promote This Sponsor

Consider including details such as:

  • What makes your show and audience a great fit for this sponsor

  • The type of content you will create to help them achieve their goals

  • Why you feel this opportunity is a strong match

The more details you can provide, the better.

This is the perfect place to convince the brand that you are the right partner. Highlight what makes your podcast a great fit, mention upcoming episodes related to their product, explain how your audience aligns with their target market, or share your genuine enthusiasm for the brand. These details can help your proposal stand out.

3. Share Info and Screenshots of Your Show’s Downloads, Listening Data, and Demographic Information
One of the biggest benefits for sponsors is the ability to reach your listeners. Being transparent about your show’s analytics helps sponsors understand your audience and its size.

Even if you are just starting out and do not have a large audience yet, transparency is still valuable. Many sponsors look for consistency in production and signs that you are actively growing your show.

Share screenshots of your show’s analytics and download data to show your growth and ongoing efforts. You can upload these directly through the proposal form.

If you cannot install the Audacy Creator Lab analytics prefix for automatic tracking, you can manually submit your numbers by going to Settings > Manage Podcasts > Upload My Stats.

Below are examples of analytics sponsors often look for.

  • Recent Episode Downloads Within 30 Days of Release:

Shows how many downloads your new episodes receive shortly after release.

  • Unique Listeners, All Time:

Displays the number of unique listeners your show has reached over time.

  • Downloads in the First 7 Days:

Shows how your five most recent episodes performed within the first week of release.

Where to Find Audience Demographic Information

Many sponsors also want to see demographic information such as age and gender to make sure they are reaching their target audience.

Spotify provides demographic data through Spotify for Podcasters. You can also gather additional insights from your social media platforms, such as your show’s Instagram or Facebook page.

We are confident you will create amazing proposals that help you land great sponsorships!
