Q: How should I price myself if my show gets fewer than 1,000 downloads per episode?

If your podcast averages fewer than 1,000 downloads per episode, we recommend using a flat rate for sponsorships.

  • For pre-roll and mid-roll ads, a flat rate of $15 to $40 is typically acceptable to most brands.

  • For custom work such as reviews and interviews, which require more time and effort, consider starting with $40 to $100.

You can also offer bundle deals for multiple episode sponsorships to make your proposal more attractive to brands.

Q: How should I price myself if my show gets more than 1000 downloads per episode?

If your show averages more than 1,000 downloads per episode, you can either charge a flat rate or use a CPM pricing model (a set dollar amount per thousand downloads or listens).

  • For pre-roll or mid-roll ads, a CPM rate of $15 to $30 is generally acceptable to most brands.

  • For more integrated and custom content, such as detailed product reviews, interviews, or topical discussions, you can charge a higher flat rate or use a CPM rate in the range of $30 to $50.

If you decide to go with a higher price, make sure to clearly explain how you will deliver value and help the brand achieve strong results from the campaign.

Q: Can prices be negotiated or updated?

Yes, brands can request a different price. If you agree to the new terms, you can update your proposal.

To make changes to a submitted proposal, go to the Sponsorship page and select Proposals Sent.

Once you are on the Proposals Sent page, you will see a list of your sent proposals. Click Edit Proposal to make updates.
